Dita Von Teese's Latest Hairstyle, Fashion, Makeup Style - Summer 2009
Having made a name for herself as an international burlesque star, Dita Von Teese brought her artistry to audiences in Hollywood where she performed her show at the Avalon Theater on July 22, 2009. As one of the most interesting characters in entertainment today, Dita Von Teese proved that she knows how to give the audience a memorable experience. She is a multi-talented celebrity that is able to enthrall her fans with her retro look and glamour from a by-gone era.
Dita Von Teese
Although you cannot call her shy or conservative, Dita Von Teese appeared on the scene wearing a subdued black and white chiffon polka dot dress with a V-neckline, gathered at the waist in classic 1940-50’s style. This look completely supports her personality and provided an interesting contrast to her stage appearance. Dita Von Teese also wears her jet black hair in the style that was very popular in the 1940’s and 50s; the classic bob was deeply curled and waved, parted on the side of her head and brushed up and away from her face. Instead of the tousled look that is very popular today, she chose to have a very polished look for her hair, making her look as though she just stepped out of a salon. Her makeup was distinctly different as well; she used an extremely light foundation and powder to give her complexion an alabaster finish. Dita Von Teese’s dramatic appearance was enhanced by the use of ruby red lipstick and jet black mascara on her eyes.
